Sacraments Co-coordinating Team

Oversees and coordinates the implementation of the preparation for sacraments in the parish. Contact Fr Linh, or Margaret.

Baptism Committee

Assists families in their preparation for baptism. Following a contact with Fr Linh, the family comes along to a preparation evening, which is held on the first Thursday of each month. Contact Fr Linh.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Is a process for adults wishing to explore the Catholic faith, with a view to becoming full members of our faith community. Contact Fr Linh.

Liturgy Team

Meets during the year to plan and implement parish liturgies. Under the umbrella of the Liturgy Team are the ministries of: Lector (Reader), Special Minister, Music and Environment (Flower Arranging etc). We are always looking for new people to join us in this rewarding ministry. Contact Fr Linh.

Counters

Are rostered over seven weeks to count the monies collected over the weekend's Masses, for the parish Thanksgiving Program as well as the collection for the Presbytery. Contact Margaret.

St Vincent de Paul Society

Provides for those in need of assistance with material aid and meal vouchers. Contact Dawn.

Carer's Group

Meets monthly for faith sharing and also development of pastoral skills and provides support for those who would be otherwise isolated in the parish. The Carer's Group also coordinates the Over 50's Group. Contact Mary.

Over 50's Group

comes together socially at different times of the year, either through outings to various Victorian places of attraction or by joining in social events within the parish. Contact Molly or Anne.

Christmas Dinner Committee

Meets throughout the year to plan Christmas Dinner for people in the wider community who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. Lunch is provided for around 80 - 100 people each year at the Lynda Blundell Centre in Dallas. Volunteers from the parish work to obtain donations form businesses and charitable funds to provide for this excellent initiative. Volunteers also prepare and serve the meal, which they share with those gathered on the day, as well as providing entertainment and good company. Assistance is always welcome. Contact Sharyn.

Legion of Mary

Comes together for prayer and goes out to provide comfort to the sick and elderly through home visits. Groups meet in English and Vietnamese languages. Contact Mary.

Parish Magazine Committee

Meets to put together the Parish Magazine The Rainbow, which is published four times a year. The Rainbow is distributed by volunteers, to 1200 parish homes. Advertisers, articles and helpers are always needed. Contact Nhan.

Meadow Heights Fundraising Committees

Are responsible for raising funds for the Meadow Heights building project and other parish needs. We currently have two groups meeting in English and Vietnamese. Contact Thanh.

East Timor Support Group

This group is providing some material support for the Parish of St Francis Xavier, Hatolia. The work also builds links between our two communities. Contact Rita.
